Joe has 30 years experience working with genderqueer and sexual orientation fluid clients. In addition to seeing clients, he lectures and teaches nationally and internationally on topics related to gender identity issues, LGBTQ+ issues, consensual non-monogamy and polyamory, sex therapy, complex relationship dynamics, and treating problematic sexual behavior from a non-addiction focused perspective.
He also supervises clinicians from various disciplines who are working towards AASECT sex therapy certification as well as those seeking to become supervisors of sex therapy.

Dr. Ellyn Bader co-founded The Couples Institute in Menlo Park, California, in 1984 with her husband, Dr. Peter Pearson. She is considered by many to be the preeminent expert in couples therapy training and has trained therapists throughout the United States as well as in Europe, Russia, Asia, South America, and Australia.
